Cibodas Botanical Garden
Cibodas Botanical Garden (CBG) located in Gunung Gede Pangrango Forest, Cianjur. This garden was established in 1852 by Johannes Elias Teijsmann as a branch of the Bogor Botanical Gardens. At CBG, there are collections of various types of big trees are protected particularly wet highland tropical plants, such as conifers and a variety of fern. In here there are forest and also a waterfall. From the entrance to the waterfall is approximately 750 meters. If you walk it’s far enough. But we will not feel tired because we are treated the sights that make our eyes cool.

The most unique collection at CBG is Cibodas Moss Park that has 216 kinds of moss from various Indonesia region and the world. The park is claimed to be the only one in the world that lies outside of the room and has the largest collection. Besides moss garden, CBG also has a cherry blossom garden but by the time I came the cherry blossoms are blooming yet.

Besides to providing a collection of plants, CBG also provides a variety of facilities, from large parking area, children’s play area, mosque, toilets, shelters, pavilion, outdoor theater, and camping ground.

Admission fee on CBG is 9500 IDR for one person, 5000 IDR for a two wheeled vehicle, 16000 IDR for a four-wheeled vehicles. Ticket prices are valid for weekdays and holidays. For domestic and foreign tourists the price remains the same. Very cheap isn’t it?
